Academy of Management

The Academy of Management is the preeminent professional association for management and organization scholars. Founded in 1936, their global community today is nearly 20,000 strong, spanning 115 countries. In 2013, TGD was asked to produce a strategic membership marketing plan. A lack of marketing for years had created a sudden drop in membership. TGD utilized the association’s data on over 17,000 potential members gathered through online purchases, events, and past memberships from the last five years.

We developed multiple themes and ideas specifically focused on member value. We combined data and testimonials to build a targeted campaign using actual images of members. The final result was a 3% conversion/recapture rate.
