AMWA is an organization of the largest publicly owned drinking water systems in the United States. AMWA’s membership serves more than 130 million Americans – from Alaska to Puerto Rico – with safe drinking water.
TGD developed an over arching design theme for the AMWA collateral, leveraging the new brand aesthetic to build awareness of their industry’s news, legislative updates, and insider information in print and on screen.
Addressing the Real Issues
AMWA initially selected TGD to re-design their website and install a Drupal CMS to help them manage their vast amount of content. Upon project kick off it was evident that in addition to their website needs, AMWA’s previous re-branding effort had fallen short in building awareness and application functionality. This lead to a complete communication audit and brand refresh.
Website Design and Development
It’s Clearly About the Water Drop
AMWA’s original logo was an abstraction of a city and a water drop. Not wanting to throw away the brand equity—or in this case, the clear water drop—TGD refreshed their previous logo by framing the drop with a more defined city-scape and applying clean, legible typography.
AMWA’s site needed to communicate—to its many member facets, both news and legislative updates, while also offering value to potential members. To accomplish this, TGD delivered a custom content management system (CMS) that allows for streamlined administration tasks and secure communications with members across the country.
